A student of Saint Mary's Academy in the Edmundston area, Scott Kilmer, takes a course called Digital Production 120, or DigProd12 for short. This course is all about learning alternative ways to do things online, such as edit pictures, design websites, and record audio. Scott's favourite part was the GIMP module, and he is not just saying that because this website is about GIMP, but because it didn't necessarily require much creativity. Most assignments have a specific outline, so he didn't need to be very creative. The Web Design unit required he actually think of a website topic on his own, OH MY! The Audio Unit required him to make use of his strange voice, so he didn't like that one bit.
On his time off, Scott likes to play online games with his friends, watch Youtube videos from his favourite uploaders, and play with his two dogs Casper and Mombo, as well as his two cats, Charlie and Jack. His favourite online games are: Minecraft (which he plays alongside his friend from school, Audrey), Lord of the Rings Online, TUG (which is still in Alpha stages), CAH (Cards Against Humanity, which is incredibly offensive yet so, so hilarious), and the Legend of Zelda (of which he has only personally played Ocarina of time 3D). His favourite youtubers are: Shane Dawson and his girlfriend Liza Schwartz, Toby Turner/Tobuscus, Felix Kjelberg/Pewdiepie, the Green Brothers (one of which is the author of the Fault in our Stars), Rhett and Link (GMM), and the Shaytards. He also likes watching Buzzfeed videos, but they are a company who create useless but fun-to-watch videos on their free time. Buzzfeed has a bajillion different channels, like BuzzfeedYellow, BuzzfeedPop, and BuzzfeedVideo.
Scott's favourite course in school is his Culinary Tech 120 class. In this class, they learn not only how to cook yummy food, but how to sharpen knifes with whetstones, and how to follow a recipe. Thanks to this class, he learned how to make over-cooked (cooked on both sides) eggs. He didn't like eggs until she made them this way. Now, he is currently sitting in the science lab during his DigProd120 class, typing on a computer about how much he wants eggs, even though they ran out over the weekend. He also knows how to cut a carrot julienne style, even though it's really hard. He also knows how to make a homemade stock, how to cook spaghetti the correct way, and how to make lots (and lots. and lots. and lots.) of oven-cooked kale chips, even though he doesn't like them. Pretty soon, they'll learn how to make cheesecake and spicy meat rubs. That should be fun.
